Domina's Agway in Portsmouth, Rhode Island (RI) & Southern Massachusetts (MA) & Connecticut (CT) is a Paver Contractor specializing in the installation of paver-stone patios and walkways, as well as other hardscapes. The key to any hardscape is a proper base. We install a minimum base of four inches of ABC crusher run and run a vibratory plate tamper over it to ensure a proper base. Then we install an inch of paver sand before installing our pavers. Many contractors simply sweep sand between paver joints, but this can eventually wash away. Domina's Agway sweeps polymeric sand between joints and this compound forms a solid bond with the pavers after lightly watering. We also use plastic edging around the exterior of patios to make sure they stand the test of time.
